Q: What are the key trends from the A/W 23/24 catwalk shows?
“First, we see the emergence of the low-key luxury trend, an understated approach to fashion that prioritises long-lasting materials and timeless silhouettes over ostentatious designs.
“Second, we see brands responding to the polycrisis era by presenting dark and moody collections in a story called #DystopianFutures on the Fashion Feed. And lastly, designers continue to reinvent the tailoring category by adding subtle twists to familiar silhouettes to create not-so-classic items.”

Q: How is the cost-of-living crisis affecting the wellness consumer?
“We’ve been tracking the anti-wellness movement, where consumers will start divesting from today’s wellness culture whenever it feels overwhelming, toxic or ineffective. In its place, they’ll start investing in healthy strategies that are proven to help their minds and bodies.
“When it comes to cost of living, they’ll prioritise practical and low-budget wellness advice. Health and wellness brands should go back to the basics, promoting traditional health wisdom and offering discounts or partnerships with savings programmes.”

Q: Which cities should I visit for creative inspiration in 2023?
“In Asia, we’re highlighting Hanoi in Vietnam, a city where traditional crafts are combined with a growing contemporary design scene. You can check out slow fashion labels, but also creative spaces that combine food, drinks and art.
“In Europe, Turin’s liveable and creative vibe is making it a destination for visitors and people looking to relocate from bigger cities such as Milan. It has the mountains nearby, offering outdoor appeal, but also great design inspiration across museums, galleries and concept stores.”
